On the morning of Monday the 11th of October 1997, Netscape employees arrived at work to find a huge "E" (Internet Explorer logo) had been placed on their front lawn by Microsoft employees. Taped to the sign was a balloon with the message "We Love You". Netscape spokespersons were not amused.
