Google's subsidiary Orkut has gotten them in trouble with Brazilian authorities because Orkut user's are distributing child porn and racist material. The threat of a criminal probe looks like it's pressure on Google to give up user information. A civil suit is also likely to force Google to follow Brazil's laws.
