A small but ambitious company called Brain Fingerprinting Laboratories moved to Seattle in early 2004, determined to find markets for a brain wave device that sounds straight out of a science fiction plot. By hooking humans up to machines that measure cerebral activity, the company believes it can determine whether specific information is stored in a person's memory.
